My name is Chetan (Chet for short) and I am a World Options partner. I’m incredibly passionate about helping people and supporting businesses with their growth. In my free time I enjoy keeping active and being out and about with the family. I have really stepped up my fitness since the first lockdown in 2020.

Why do you do what you do?

My passion for technology and simplifying things and processes is the reason I do what I do. I have helped many companies save time and costs over the years which I find extremely rewarding. I started my World Options Franchise from the ground and have grown the team as it is now. We are based in NW London, but we work nationally across the UK.

I enjoy talking to people and helping small businesses with cost and time efficiencies by introducing World Options and our services. Our team is dedicated to examining the ways that simple improvements in processes and technology can help our potential clients and existing customers save time and money.

How do you feel your offering makes a difference?

We are different because we adapt to our customers’ needs and provide a tailored solution for each and every customer. We try to understand companies’ business processes before we identify whether World Options is a good fit for them. Our team takes time to understand the strengths of each courier and match the right courier to the company.

Our team is proud of the customer service and ongoing support we provide, and our customers agree. We have created ways to automate simple processes both internally and with our customers. We try to utilise tools like e-commerce apps and connectors to make order management as simple as possible. Combining each team member’s skills, tools and resources, we put our customer’s experience at the front and centre of our minds.

Can you detail your service offering?

We offer a multi-layered approach to our services with World Options. We make sure to think of ways we can always be available to our customers. Proactive service is one of the things we value. We perform daily and weekly checks to ensure we catch service failures and manage them to the best of our ability. Our franchise also has a robust customer onboarding and management process in place to ensure every customer not only gets the best-in-class customer service but is also empowered with the knowledge of what World Options can offer.

As value-added services, we also offer training and shipping consultations free of charge and are always available to help with any query big or small. If you need to ship domestic or international, small parcels, documents, or pallets we are here to help.

What kind of experience did you have before becoming a World Options partner?

I have over 20 years of experience in procurement, logistics and business improvement. I have worked in multiple industries across aerospace, defence, rail and pharma. Prior to coming to World Options, I was a consultant working with small companies to help drive improvements in delivery and quality performance. I have continued to use these skills, combined with my interest in technology at World Options. The franchise was a good fit and I now have a strong team around me to allow us to continuously meet and exceed our customers’ needs.

What do you feel is key to the success of your business?

I think the key to success is to be consistent with your goals and our long-term intent to provide a great shipping experience for our customers. As a franchisee, I came in with a strong mindset, based on a book I had read many years ago called ‘E-Myth’. I was inspired by author Michael E. Gerber’s idea of “creating a business that works for you, where systems run the business and people run the systems.”

I have worked with many businesses over the years, and I have seen many businesses fail when they’re dependent on people and not a system. Our franchise office is not dependent on one person, but on everyone working together, and this is how a business should be run. Our plan is to free up people’s time whilst saving money on shipping wherever possible.

How do you go the extra mile for your customers?

Customers expect a certain level of support from courier companies and want to be able to book shipments quickly and get quick delivery at an affordable price. We are proud to say that the World Options 154 franchise office does this and more. What we offer is far beyond what you would normally expect from a courier company, such as:

1. Daily service failure checks to ensure parcels are collected and exceptions are managed.

2. Weekly invoice checks to ensure customers are not overcharged by the couriers.

3. Dedicated support email address, telephone number and messaging system to contact World Options.

4. Free consultation on shipping, e-commerce connectivity and training on the World Options services.

5. Regular account management calls to support customers if needed.

6. Regular newsletters and communication to make customers aware of key updates with our couriers and World Options’ services.
