Tell us about yourself
My name is Ian Davies and I been a World Options partner for many years. I have worked in the logistics industry for decades and am passionate about helping businesses to reach their full potential by offering support with their shipping.
Why do you do what you do?
Logistics is in the blood. My father had been in logistics for as long as I can remember. He, my mother and I founded our family business in 1984. My son is the third generation in the business and we’ve been working together in the World Options franchise for the past eight years. We love helping customers when they have issues and there have been some interesting and notable shipments over the years.
How do you feel your offering makes a difference?
With over 37 years of industry experience, I’ve got the knowledge and understanding to help our customers with any logistical issues. We specialise in short-notice urgent freight throughout the UK and Europe and have a network of thousands of trusted suppliers we can call upon.
Can you detail your service offering?
I provide a state-of-the-art shipping portal offering courier solutions to fit your company budget, customer choice and strategic direction. Our portal can be standalone or integrated into your e-commerce solution for free. I support those companies sending only a couple of parcels a week to those sending hundreds per month. And when you get those unusual orders or requests then I am here to help you find a shipping solution.
What kind of experience did you have before becoming a World Options partner?
I’ve spent my career in the logistics industry. I’ve got 37 years’ experience in all aspects of import, export and domestic transport, which means I can always offer the best advice and support for any shipping need. The benefit of that experience is the expertise to deliver the best possible logistics solutions for my customers.
What do you feel is key to the success of your business?
I believe the success of my business will be down to my commitment to serving my customers with integrity, saving customers time and money and supporting their questions.
I am customer-centric, therefore, if one of my customers has a problem then that problem is my issue until it is resolved.
