Matt studied a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management and has been working in the transport and logistics industry for the last six years while Jess has a background as an Occupational Therapist.
Why do you do what you do?
We decided to purchase a World Options Franchise because it gives us the opportunity to work with and help small businesses in the very important and often overlooked area of shipping. We are very excited about this journey.
How do you feel your offering makes a difference?
We believe we bring a diverse mixture of skills to the table, Matthew with his experience in transport and me with my people and problem-solving skills from Occupational Therapy. We believe this has shaped our mentality to be person-centred in our approach with our focus on what is most important to our customers and their businesses.
How do you stand out as a franchise owner?
We see ourselves as an integral part of our customer’s supply chain – an extension of our customer’s businesses if you will. As business owners ourselves, our success is wholly dependent on the success of our customers and that dictates a completely different approach and way of working.
Can you detail your service offering? How do you help your customers?
Understanding what drives a customer allows us to tailor our services according to our customers’ specific needs. Having both worked in high pressure jobs, we can offer our customers a solution-based approach as account managers. This allows our customers to focus on other vital aspects of their business, while we handle any shipping problems.
What kind of experience did you have before becoming a World Options partner?
We both came across World Options in early 2021 after being unsatisfied in our full-time jobs and looking for a change and wanting to start building something of our own. We decided to take the leap with World Options and became partners in May 2021. I left my job as an Occupational Therapist and Matthew left his job as a Transport Manager.
What do you feel is key to the success of your business?
We believe the key to success is honesty and accessibility and with this approach, we commit to following through on the promises we make to our customers.
How do you go the extra mile for your customers?
Our goal is to help small to medium sized businesses by offering them a state-of-the-art portal system and competitive shipping rates, allowing them to succeed and grow!
